Biggest growers to produce less rubber

BANGKOK: Natural rubber production from the world’s biggest growers may expand at a slower pace this year, while demand may climb from the largest user China, the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries said.

Member states, which represent 92% of global supply, might produce 10.45 million tonnes, up 3.2%, after a 6.7% rise to 10.13 million tonnes in 2011, the group said in a monthly bulletin. – Bloomberg
